OSEA began in Jenefer Palmer’s kitchen sink after a decade working as Spa Director at the historic Murrieta Hot Springs. Paired with her training in various healing modalities including Polarity Therapy, Acupressure, Shiatsu and Biodynamic Cranialsacral Therapy, Jenefer was a thought leader in the burgeoning wellness space. Her desire to create active, organic and non-toxic skincare was revolutionary and what began as a personal passion soon evolved into a fully fledged beauty brand, manifesting the seed of her idea into reality.
Drawing inspiration from the ocean, sun, earth and atmosphere, OSEA was created with a singular intention in mind – to deliver your best skin with the highest quality ingredients.
Innovative formulations of certified organic, bioavailable seaweed are blended with pure steam-distilled and cold pressed essential oils. In short, the best ingredients possible, sourced from all over the world. This approach has allowed us to eliminate the need for synthetic ingredients entirely, while delivering active and effective solutions for your skincare needs.
OSEA products are all plant-based and gluten-free, as we pride ourselves on our commitment to delivering conscious vegan skincare. Our products are cruelty-free and do not contain animal-derived ingredients such as lanolin, beeswax, carmine and beyond. We believe animal rights matter.
In 2002, OSEA became the first company to sign The Compact for Global Production of Safe Health and Beauty Products, an initiative from the Environmental Working Group. Their mission is to ensure products are “free of chemicals that are known or strongly suspected of causing cancer, mutation or birth defects”, which aligns seamlessly with the ethos behind our products. Our Founder and CEO, Jenefer and Melissa Palmer were actively involved in campaigning, travelling to Washington DC and Sacramento to meet with legislators and continue to lobby for safe skincare.
